Workshop Launch - a few pics.....

Some pics of pieces from my new collection, I did reuse my necklace though from my previous  project because it went so well with the outfit and I didn't want to waste them! I wanted to make it more commercially viable and also attempted pattern cutting and making for the first time which I really enjoyed ... A little bit quicker than crocheting a whole project! I want to make some more pieces before the photoshoot hopefully. I really enjoyed the tie dying though....

Workshop New collections Launch

Here is a little snap shot from the 5000 website of Wednesday night when we had our new collection launch catwalk show at Workshop for the Fringe. The shop transformed into an amazing runway space that looked really professional and edgy... I presented a few pieces from my latest collection which is inspired by my India travels! I plan on adding a few more pieces to the collection before I do my photoshoot late march as tie-dying takes a lot of work but I loved getting my hands messy! 

                 

Bridgewater Mill Exhibition

In the early new year I was asked by prominent SA curator Karen Paris to take part in one of the many exhibitions being held as part of Adelaide's Crush Festival, this one in particular at Bridgewater Mill, Petaluma. I ended up producing this set of 3 textile wall hangings based on seed dispersion and the natural patterns created... the pieces have now been moved to the Red Poles gallery at McLaren Vale. I really enjoyed producing these art pieces, a project that was a little different from the normal fashion and jewellery ranges. Karen is also a fantastic connection as I am already signed up to do another show in August before I go off on my travels....
