Ruby Beats

This week I was asked by my friend and manager, Missy, to come up with a logo for her new band 'The Ruby Beats'. Here are a few of my interpretations into logo designs, all of which she loved thankfully!!!! I started with the simple logo layout, the first one shown below, then using layers added the decorative hand drawn crystal pattern to change it up a little. Look out for this logo out and about in Adelaide...

Blanket for Caitlyn

Another hand crocheted baby blanket for my gorgeous friends baby, Caitlyn, some fresh spring colours this time with a little duck motif....

A little something blue...

Earlier this year I travelled back to the UK to be a bridesmaid for my beautiful best friends wedding. My gifts to her came in various forms, including a framed hand cut paper illustration, and of course her 'something blue' garter. Morocco

Mosaic and stained glass window seemed to be my inspiration for this trip, as well as some unbelievable architecture courtesy of Antonio Gaudi...

Tuch Macabre

For the last couple of months I have been producing a mini collection for the music and art fashion collaborative event, Tuch Macabre. The event showcased the tunes of Climbs, a partnership based on beats and mixes, and 3 Adelaide based designers whose work is a little more eccentric or art focused than the mainstream, Colour Cosmetica were also brought on to supply the models and hair and make-up. The event was fantastic, a truly professional representation of the future of arts collaboration. So much potential with this, a step in the right direction.

My theme was based on pop. So hence my collection was very bold and colourful, with snappy prints, plastic and crochet...
