Illustration and Presentation- Fashion Photography

From my Fabric Designs I set up a photoshoot using one of my friends as the model. Placing her in high contrast lighting, I just wanted to accentuate the highlights of the naked and then layered my own fabric designs over the top in order to create a 'second skin'....

Illustration and Presentation- Fabric Design

(ORIGINAL IMAGE)

In order to help me to visualise my knit samples as a piece of fabric and also to help me place them into a fashion context, I created these following fabric designs on Photoshop, choosing only two of my final knit pieces. These can also then be used in the future perhaps as digital prints etc.

Illustration and Presentation- Design in Architecture

On Photoshop I have also produced these images, allowing my knit to be observed and produced in an architectural space as a conceptual art installation or even as part of a building/interior. I chose in particular these photographs to show my knit samples as I feel that the contrast between the clean, delicate knit, against the empty, rough-looking background gives the space a whole new personality and visual aesthetic which furthermore relates back well to my original design concepts.

Illustration and Presentation- Finished Fashion Illustrations

These are my final fashion illustration designs...

I wanted to revert back to the idea of jars, taken from the Hunterian Museum Collection, and suspend my 'models' inside them as if captured in space. I really like the finished developments as I feel they suit my conceptual knit samples particularly well.

Illustration and Presentation 2

Here are some magazine collage developments where I have experimented with different media in order to alter the image shown, creating my own drawings, as well as some of my own fashion illustration developments from my knit sample designs....

Illustration and Presentation

To begin my illustration and presentation project for my Premiere Vision knit samples, as seen below, we as a class, began by attending particular workshops in order to help re-spark our fashion illustration creativity. And the first for me was Life Drawing, as shown by the drawings above. I has also attended Adobe Illustrator, however due to it only being a refresher, I have no work to show for it.

Oh and I apologise for the bad quality of the images.....the lighting in my room at this time was not very good, even considering that it was the middle of the day!
