Go down to the Workshop!

When looking about Adelaide I stumbled across this little place. Part of the Renew Adelaide Scheme, a fantastic scheme which celebrates urban renewal through creative partnerships, Workshop is a collective of fashion designers who set up their own place of work in an abandoned shop space allocated to them by the government. The designers there were so inviting and their work is fantastic, and after a few words I will hopefully be jumping on the band wagon and getting involved. Not only will it get me meeting like minded, friendly individuals but also help me to establish myself as a designer here too by selling some of my work in their shop... fingers crossed!

Heres a link to their blogspot.... http://www.workshoponhindley.blogspot.com

Give it some ATTITUDE

One of my first opportunities since arriving here in Adelaide has been to get my work featured in Attitude Magazine, which is a fantastic start. Selena, the lovely lady who runs the magazine was able to publish me in the latest September issue which will soon be followed up by an interview... so watch this space! Heres a link to their website too.

Good'ay Mate!

Well I don't know whether you have heard on the grape vine but I have indeed temporarily moved to the land of kangaroos and year long summer...yes, Australia! In search of inspiration and also to get to know the art and design scene. Im following in the foot steps of my grandparents 30 years ago, moving with my family after my dad got head hunted, and thought I would take the opportunity to see what its all about this side of the world. Its been hard the last few months but Im getting there slowly and am trying to make the most of my time here ...and will hopefully get the chance to travel further a field! Who knows what will come of it.....
