Alternative Fashion Show research

On my latest project I collaborated with my friend Tida Finch. The whole year have been asked over the period of 4 weeks to research, design and make a garment for the Alternative Fashion show at Spitalfields Market near Liverpool Street Station in London on Friday 24th April. The theme was 'workerwear', so we initially decided to research camouflage and illusions, looking at where they are used in the natural and man-made world. Here are just some initial drawings and samples which we developed into the optics idea.....

We really liked the boldness of the red against the harsh line in the machinery section of the Science Museum
